Lee Hyori is building vacation house in Jeju Island

It has been revealed that Lee Hyori had begun building a house on Jeju Island.

According to reports on January 19, Lee Hyori has been managing a construction for her own private building in Jeju Island since last year. She was fascinated by beautiful features of the island and decided to build a house there in order to visit the place more often.

The singer’s agency revealed that Lee Hyori is not planning on living there and described the house as a place for the singer to rest when she would visit Jeju Island. The agency also denied the rumors about Lee Hyori and her boyfriend, Lee Sang Soon looking to settle down on the island permanently.

Meanwhile, Lee Hyori is currently working on her new album slated to be released in spring.

Lee Hyori’s wedding remark garners backlash

Lee Hyori recently attended Uhm Tae Woong and Yoon Hye Jin’s wedding ceremony held on January 9th at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul.

She started by congratulating the newlywed couple, saying, “I hope they will have a happy wedded life. I know Tae Woong has a dog, so I hope that even after he gets married, he will still take good care of the dog.”

As a reporter asked about her wedding plan, Lee Hyori said, “The president herself hasn’t gotten married yet and I don’t see a reason why I should hurry.”

The singer gained criticism for her statement with some netizens claiming she was taking a jab at Park Geun Hye. They commented, “What does the president being single have anything to do with you?”, “Did she really have to bring in a political figure into this?” and more.

Korea's sexy diva Lee Hyori decided to go on a lemon detox diet. Today, Hyori posted on her Twitter, "In order to make my body and mind light as the new year hit, today is day 3 of lemon detox. I'll put up the symptoms and results to those who are interested."
She wrote, "More than diet, I'm looking forward to the detox results. Clearing up body and mind... If I lose weight with it, that's good too."
She also wrote, "Day 1 - I'm hungry, Day 2 - A little hungier, Day 3 - So hungry. End.," "I bought the products for lemon detox to eat. You mix it with water and drink it. 4~5 times a day, and no other food. I drink water and herb tea a lot."
