Super Junior K.R.Y ranks 1 on Oricon


After debuting at number two on the Oricon Daily Singles chart, Super Junior K.R.Y has now claimed the top spot with its first Japanese single.

According to Oricon’s latest chart ranking on January 25, Super Junior K.R.Y’s first Japanese single “Promise You” sold 15,197 copies on its second day to claim the top spot of the Oricon Daily Singles chart.

Member Ryeowook expressed his excitement by tweeting, “Super Junior K.R.Y. is no. 1 on Oricon~!!!!!! It’s been hard work on the dancers and band members who have been working hard until the Budokan concert today~^^ Thank you kyakya all 72,000 ELF, I was touched, let’s meet again~~~.”

Super Junior KRY "Promise You" ranked No. 2 on Oricon Chart


Super Junior K.R.Y’s first Japanese single has debuted at number two on the Oricon chart.

According to Oricon’s latest chart ranking on January 24, Super Junior K.R.Y’s first Japanese single “Promise You” ranked #2 on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart. Released on the 23rd, the single has sold a total of 40,635 copies on the first day after its release.

The Super Junior ballad unit is made up of members Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung. The group recently held its first concert in Japan and received an enthusiastic response, leading to add another concert at the Budokan on January 24.

TVXQ tops Oricon Weekly Chart with “Catch Me -If you wanna-”


After taking the top spot of the Oricon Daily Singles Chart, TVXQ has once again made history by debuting on #1 of the Oricon Weekly Singles chart.

According to Oricon’s updated chart figures, TVXQ latest Japanese single album “Catch Me -If you wanna-” has debuted at number one on the Oricon Weekly singles chart. This marks TVXQ’s 12th #1 single, making the duo the first foreign artist to achieve twelve #1 single albums on the Oricon weekly singles chart.

“Catch Me -If you wanna-” includes Japanese version of TVXQ’s 6th Korean album title track “Catch Me” and Japanese original ballad titled, “I Know”. The duo is also in Japan this coming March.

Bringing more good news to their dedicated Japanese fans, the duo is set to hold the Saitama leg of their Japan tour on April 27 at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

TVXQ’s “Catch Me -If you wanna-” debuts at #1 on Oricon


The duo of TVXQ once again take over the top spot of Oricon Chart with new Japanese single.

On January 16th, TVXQ released its latest Japanese single album “Catch Me -If you wanna-”. The single sold 84,666 copies on its first day and debuted at #1 on Oricon Daily Singles chart, beating out Japanese artist No Sleeves’ “Kirigiri Jin”.

“Catch Me -If you wanna-” includes Japanese version of TVXQ’s 6th Korean album title track “Catch Me” and Japanese original ballad titled, “I Know”. The duo is also in Japan this coming March.

Big Bang and 2PM ranked under Oricon’s Best Concerts


Idol groups Big Bang and 2PM were both honored by Japan’s Oricon charts under 2012’s Best Concerts.

According to the Oricon website on January 9th, the two groups were listed within the top 11 concerts that took place in Japan last year.

Big Bang held shows from last May for their ‘Big Bang Alive Tour 2012 In Japan’, while 2PM held their six-show ‘2PM Live 2012 Six Beautiful Days’ tour in Japan.

Other acts that made it onto the list included Namuro Amie, Yamashita Tatsuro, Oda Kazumasa, and Perfume.

The top 11 concerts were chosen by Oricon’s editor who attended 141 different concerts in Japan and screened through them carefully for the highest-quality shows.
