Super Junior-M to hold special stage on music programs next week


Super Junior-M, a subgroup comprising core members of Super Junior, will be holding special performances on Korean weekly music programs next week.

According to SM Entertainment, the unit group will be performing their latest single “Break Down” in ‘M! Countdown’ on January 31st, in ‘Music Core’ on February 2nd and ‘Inkigayo’ on February 3rd.

Super Junior-M was formed specifically to target the Chinese-speaking world and the songs on their second album were performed in Mandarin Chinese. This is the first the group will be performing “Break Down” for their Korean fans.

Super Junior-M performs in Chinese New Year Special Concert


Super Junior-M, a unit of the popular idol group Super Junior, will feature in the New Year Festival special program of the Chinese Liaoning Satellite TV.

A representative of SM Entertainment, the group’s agency, said, “Super Junior-M took part in recording of the New Year’s Eve Gala held at the Liaoning Grand Theater on January 17 and sang the title song of their second full-length album ‘Break Down’ and another hit, ‘Perfection’.”

Other entertainment celebrities including American popular group Backstreet Boys and the Chinese actress Cecilia Cheung also took part in the recording, along with Super Junior M. The program will be broadcast live across China at 7 p.m. (local time) on Febuary 8.

New Year Evening Gala is broadcast every year on Lunar New Year Day. The program is so popular that it has ranked as the most viewed program in that time slot for the last 10 years.

Super Junior-M tops Billboard World Album Chart


Super Junior-M, a subgroup comprising core members of popular boy band Super Junior, topped the U.S. Billboard World Albums chart for the week ending January 26 with ‘Break Down’.

The second release made by the subunit of the Hallyu boy band also ranked 49th on the Heatseekers Albums chart.

The group was formed specifically to target the Chinese-speaking world and the songs on their second album were performed in Mandarin Chinese.

A spokesperson from SM Entertainment, “It’s unprecedented for an album recorded in Chinese to do so well on the Billboard charts.”

SJM thanks fans for a successful fanmeeting through group selca



Super Junior M recently concluded their fanmeeting in Nanjing last night. Kyuhyun shared a group photo right after the show was ended. He wrote,

"Our Nanjing fanparty has ended now!! Thank you our beloved China E.L.F!! It’s been hard work on you^^ you’re now watching SJM", quickly after his message, Donghae also posted, "My dear babies !! The fan meeting has ended now ^^ Everyone worked hard !! I love you all !! Gimme a call, I am waiting for u all ^^ Hae, Kyu, Siwon, Zhoumi, Hyuk!! So colorful and good looking^^.

Donghae reveals photo while taking a shower

Super Junior M starts their Break Down promotion in China. Members are busy interacting with their fans. Kyuhyun even started using weibo to reach fans. To commemorate, he uploaded a cute selca taken from their rehearsal.

Super Junior-M holds successful press conference for ‘Break Down’


Super Junior-M held a successful press conference in Beijing to celebrate the release of its second studio album, ‘Break Down’. The event took place at Beijing’s CGV Cinema on January 7th, and 200 fans were in attendance who came on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Despite the cold weather, fans waited in line all night in front of the theater as well as at the airport to catch a glimpse of the group. Several media outlets like MTV, Hunan Satellite TV, Sina, Sohu and more also attended to cover the press conference.

The members showed off their fluent Chinese skills during the event. They also discussed the concept for ‘Break Down’ and shared some behind-the-scenes stories from filming the music video.

Meanwhile, the members of Super Junior-M are currently remaining in China to vigorously promote their latest album.

Super Junior M hold a press interview in Beijing, China

Super Junior M recently held a press interview in Beijing, China.
According to Super Junior M’s agency, Super Junior M held a press interview at CGV International Theater in Beijing, China, on January 7. They held the press interview in advance of releasing their second album, Break Down. Such major Chinese news sources as MTV, Honam Satellite TV, Dongnam Satellite TV, Sina, Sohu, Wangi, and Yinyuetai attended the interview.
Two hundred fans of the group, selected previously on a first-come first-serve basis, received a chance to see the interview. Despite the cold weather, they stayed up all night in front of the theater to see the group. As too many people swarmed over to the theater, officers from the Public Security Bureau in China were sent to the place.
Super Junior M appealed to the interviewers with their friendly charms in fluent Chinese. They introduced “Break Down,” the lead track of their new album, and talked about some behind-the-scenes stories about the making of a music video of the song. Donghae and Kyuhyun performed part of the song.
Super Junior M will hold fan meetings all over Asia, starting in Nanjing, China, on January 19.
