Infinite’s Hoya wants a woman: “Who can speak a foreign language fluently”

Infinite H’s Hoya recently talked about his ideal woman.

Hoya gave an interview to the star magazine @Star1, which was released on January 21.

When the group was asked about ‘a special girl,’ Dong Woo said, “I think my ideal woman changes every day. These days, I like a girl who looks good with any hairstyles, such as long hair, tied up hair, and colored hair, in comfortable clothes. Then we can try to keep up with each other in personality.”

Hoya said, “I think a girl who can speak a foreign language fluently is very attractive. When someone starts speaking English or another foreign languages fluently that I didn’t even know that she could speak, she starts becoming attractive to me. Maybe it’s because I can’t speak foreign languages very well even though I want to.”

Infinite H’s first album “A response beyond imagination”

Infinite H formed by the Infinite members, Hoya and Dongwoo, released their first mini-album ‘Fly High’ on January 14th, they’re promoting it with the title song ‘Special Girl’.

This album, totally directed by the famous producer Primary, is evaluated as an album with an equal mass appeal and musicality, it’s also gaining attention as an album not only popular among their fans but also among common music fans and hiphop musicians. They show off an unusual music color they couldn’t show under their ‘original’ name and they’re receiving good responses saying they reached beyond the limits of an idol unit.


The title song ‘Special Girl’ got 1st place on the real-time chart after its release on the 11th and is still in the top 10 showing the signs of a lasting hit. The day of its offline release, the 14th, the album got 1st place on the site of the Hanteo chart counting the total of the CD sales, they said that they worked all night to adjust to the volume due to the demand being higher than they expected it to be.

Infinite H’s representant revealed to Newsen “We were shocked to see that the response was better than what we expected. The preorders already reached 120,000 copies so it was hectic to adjust to the volume” and “We started to produce the second distribution even before the release of the first-press edition but since the days of release are different nationally, it’s being reflected gradually on the album sales charts”.

They added “The oversea shipping volume is reflected a bit later but it seems that if we add the oversea sales as well, we will have an astonishing result” and “They’re planning to carry the momentum from this and do their best during their promotions”.

Infinite’s Nam Woo Hyun recently took a self portrait with a glutinous rice cake in his mouth.
On January 15, Nam tweeted a picture with the comment, “This is thicker than my lips. Grumble.”
In the picture, Nam is holding a glutinous rice cake in his mouth and staring at the camera, His handsome and silly appearance made people smile.
People who saw the picture responded: “I thought your tongue was coated.” “Surprised, I thought you had a swollen tongue.” “Cutie pie, are you grumbling?”
Infinite is currently taking some time off to rest after releasing Infinitize in May, 2012.

INFINITE-H tops Hanteo Chart with ‘Fly High’

INFINITE’s first subunit, INFINITE-H fly high to top of Hanteo Chart!

According to the Hanteo Daily Chart issued on January 14, INFINITE-H topped the chart with their first album ‘Fly High’ after being released on January 11. The album surpassed Girls’ Generation’s ‘I Got a Boy’ and CNBLUE’s new album ‘Re:BLUE’.

Woollim Entertainment revealed, “INFINITE-H already had 120,000 copies of their album pre-ordered. It’s twice more than we have prepared. We’re currently working until late at night to supply the volume.”

INFINITE-H reveals footage from debut showcase

INFINITE-H has just unveiled some video clips from their recent debut showcase, featuring footage of their performances as well as interview session.

The INFINITE’s first sub-unit held a showcase at the Seoul UNIQLO-AX on January 10th. During the event, Dongwoo and Hoya kicked off their debut stage of “Special Girl” as well as performed various tracks. The 1-hour showcase was also attended by other INFINITE members, showing their support for the unit.

Hottest K-pop acts ready for Golden Disk gig in KL

Excitement is building up barely a week before the biggest K-pop event hits our shores.

The Samsung Galaxy The 27th Golden Disk Awards in Kuala Lumpur will be rocking the Sepang International Circuit over two nights next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Founded in 1986, the Golden Disk Awards, dubbed the Grammys of Korea, is South Korea's most prestigious K-pop awards show and is presented annually for outstanding achievements in the music industry.

Hosted by Mediartncomm Co Ltd, supported by the Malaysia Con- vention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and presented by Samsung Malaysia Electronics as title sponsor, the music awards will see 25 of K-pop's hottest acts in Malaysia next week.

The earliest acts will arrive on Sunday night. They are members of the boy bands SHINee and BTOB.

Monday will see the arrival of 10 acts: Exo (in two batches), Infinite (first batch), 4Minute, B1A4, Beast, Super Junior, CN Blue, FT Island, Juniel and Kara.

Fourteen acts will fly in on Tuesday, the first day of the awards. They are Infinite (second batch), Secret, Heo Gak, Lee Ha Yi, Ailee, Epik High, T-ara, Sistar (first batch), G-Dragon, f(x), K.Will, Miss A, B.A.P, and Teen Top.

The remaining members of girl group Sistar will arrive only on Wednesday.

As for the show's hosts, CN Blue's Yong Hwa and Kara's Nicole will be emceeing on the first night while FT Island's Hong Ki and Sistar's Dasom will host the show on the second night.

Fans can expect over 70 songs during the two-night gig, including hits such as Super Junior's Sexy, Free & Single, G-Dragon's One Of A Kind, FT Island's I Wish, Beast's Fiction, 4Minute's Mirror, CN Blue's Intuition, Epik High's Light It Up and Lee Ha Yi's Mamadu.

The main entrance to the venue will be open for fans to start queueing at 2.30pm. The Samsung Galaxy zone entrance opens at 4.30pm for ticket holders to access the red carpet event, which starts at 5pm.

Rockpit and Hallyu zone entrances will open at 6pm.

The awards show starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at RM199 (Hallyu zone) and RM999 (Samsung Galaxy zone). Tickets to the Rockpit zone (RM688) have already been sold out while limited tickets remain for other zones.

CNBLUE’s Yonghwa voted #1 anticipated male star born in year of the snake

CNBLUE’s front man, Jung Yonghwa, was chosen as the #1 most anticipated male star born in the year of the snake (1989).

6,253 voters took part in a poll conducted by an online portal site, answering the question, “Which male star born in the year of the snake are you looking forward to most this year in 2013?”.

Yonghwa received 32.3% of the votes (2,018 votes), with netizens citing his triple threat skills: music, acting, and variety shows.

In second place was Jung Joon Young of ‘Super Star K4’, garnering 23.1% (1,445 votes) and then Baek Chung Kang of ‘Birth Of A Great Star’ with 20.5% (1,283 votes).

INFINITE’s Sunggyu, actor Lee Jong Suk, and SHINEE’s Onew also made it onto the top tier of the rankings.

Backed up by a heavy hip hop beat, Dongwoo and Hoya are in full swag mode as they rock the stage with Primary-produced track. Not only that, the unit group boasts the album, having influences from hip hop heavyweights including Dynamic Duo to Zion.T, Bumky and Babysoul.

The sub-unit is comprised of Hoya and Dongwoo and the H in INFINITE-H stands for Hip Hop. They will be bringing out music that will showcase their special charms and broaden INFINITE’s music spectrum.

INFINITE-H reveals Sunggyu gave the biggest help

Unit group INFINITE-H chose leader Sunggyu as the person who gave them the biggest help.

On January 10th, Dongwoo and Hoya held a showcase at the Seoul UNIQLO-AX to promote their debut album ‘Fly High’. In a press conference prior to the showcase they said, “Other members showed great supports for us, and gave many good advices.”

Dongwoo and Hoya chose Sunggyu as the person who helped them the most. Dongwoo said, “He welcomed us everyday when we were returning home in total exhaustion. He was the first member to release a solo album, so he gave a lot of advices.”

Hoya added, “It wasn’t just Sunggyu, but all the members also gave big helps. There is a group discussion that we have on our phones, and whenever we were heading for practices, they left messages. They were all small things, but they became a huge support.”

They continued, “It must be because he’s the oldest one in the group, but Sunggyu takes care of his health. He bought us a few nutrition pills.”

Infinite’s L recently released a picture of Sungjong.
On January 9, L uploaded the picture on his Twitter account with the comment, “This is the original one. Pictures of Sungjong don’t need to be edited at all.”
In the picture, Sungjong is staring at somewhere with a gentle smile on his face. It’s not edited at all, but his clean looks very clean.
